We are located opposite St Ann's Wells Playpark, a convenient 10 minute walk to the town centre or Brighton railway station which enables easy transport links to wherever you work. Bus routes to the nursery are 7 and 50. We have a dedicated parking forecourt for parents to drop off and pick up, and also a buggy and cycle park. Our location enables parents to meet in the park before or after nursery and many have met friends through Hopscotch and their children.
The nursery is warm, comfortable and inviting, with soft carpets, colourful environments and cosy corners in each group. Smaller babies enjoy their own sensory corners, whilst older children have a dedicated sensory room with moving lights, natural sounds, tented ceilings, sensory toys, warm cushions and the experience of stories, poetry and music from all genres.
Our large garden hosts many of our activities such as role play, construction, creative and messy play. It has a large digging area and two areas for planting seeds and growing our own organic vegetables. Our garden has something for every child including quiet and shady areas. We also have an annual visit from a mobile farm with pigs, sheep, goats and horses.
There is also an exciting two-level softroom at the nursery with a ball pool and slides - this is perfect for energetic kids who need to let off steam and bounce around.
