Hopscotch Curriculum

With 35 years of experience, we pride ourselves on our tried and tested approach to childcare.

The Hopscotch curriculum is based on the 7 principles of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and what Ofsted use as a basis to measure performance at inspections.

We are very proud to have received 3 Outstanding from Ofsted since May 2022!

Safe and Stimulating Spaces

We have safe, comfortable and cosy spaces across all of our nurseries. We pride ourselves on our cleanliness and each Hopscotch nursery setting has a dedicated housekeeper, which allows our staff to focus on the children. Our nurseries are well-resourced with a diverse selection of books, toys and games which allow their imaginations, bodies and minds to run wild!

Building Bonds

Socialising with friends is a huge part of nursery life and children are able to make connections and build relationships which will hold them in good stead throughout their lives. We learn turn taking and how to talk calmly in a group. We also encourage our children to do a ‘Show and Tell’ which helps them talk about items or things that are near and dear to them and allow their peers to ask questions and talk about them in more detail.

Adventures - Inside and Out

In addition to the importance of physical development, we also ensure all of our children have the chance to go on regular trips out of the nursery with their friends and teachers. Whether the Blue Room are visiting a local fruit and vegetable market or the Red Room are going to the Brighton Toy Museum, there is so much going on in our local communities and we are passionate for our children to see and be a part of it.
