People who help us at Preston Park

Posted on by Hopscotch Staff

As part of our ‘People who help us’ topic we were very excited to welcome  our local PCSOs to the nursery, who spoke to the children about their job and let us try on their hats! We then went outside to look at their police car and the children were even allowed to sit in it, with the blue lights flashing; they also kindly gave the children a sticker  to remind them of the visit. Thank you to the PCSOs for taking the time to visit us, and well done to all the children for being so well behaved.
We have been lucky enough to also be visited by the RNLI . The children chose from a selection of objects which would be useful for a trip to the beach. They then looked at a big map and used red stickers to mark any dangers they could see. They also tried on the uniforms and safety clothing that the RNLI wear. Well done to all the red group who listened really well and enjoyed the activities, and thank you to the RNLI for taking the time to visit us.
We were due a visit from the Fire Brigade this week too, but unfortunately when they were on the way to us, they were called out to attend an emergency! Hopefully next time = no emergencies! 🙂
