Update to Coronavirus Precautions

Posted on by Amelia Love

Unfortunately, we have recently seen an increased number of COVID cases amongst Hopscotch children and staff. You may also be aware that a new ‘variant of concern’ has been identified, with some cases now discovered in the UK. Over the weekend the UK Government took steps to reintroduce some Covid protection measures in response to this.
Therefore we are asking for your assistance to help us limit the spread of Coronavirus amongst our children and staff and their families. To do this we would like to one again ask that all parents and carers wear a face covering at drop-off and collection times. We also request you continue to maintain social distancing at these times.

If you, your child, or anyone in the household has a suspected case of Coronavirus or is suffering from any Coronavirus-like symptoms, please do not bring your child to nursery. Please ring the nursery manager as soon as possible, and follow the Government guidelines relating to self-isolation and testing. If you need to book a Coronavirus test, please visit the NHS website for more information. If you are unsure about whether you or your child might require a test, we suggest you consult with your GP or NHS 111 as a first step. If you are in doubt please do not bring your child to nursery until you have consulted with a healthcare professional. We suggest travelling to a test site rather than ordering a postal test, as these can take several days to arrive and may delay receiving results.

Thank you for your ongoing cooperation and support.
