My name is Christine Serna and I joined Hopscotch in 2017. I have worked in Early Years for over 20 years, initially qualifying as a Montessori teacher, before moving to a pre-school. I have worked in a primary school heading up their nursery and in full day-care. I hold Early Years Teacher status and a 1st Class Honours Degree in Education & Training Studies. I particularly enjoy extending children’s learning and supporting their problem solving skills. This supports their independence whilst laying the foundation of life skills and creating a love of learning ready for their school life. In my own time I enjoy the company of my family and spend my time gardening, walking, DIY and learning how to upholster furniture.
Hello, my name is Vicky Stubbings, I joined Hopscotch in 2012 and hold the NVQ Level 3 qualification in Childcare and Education. I have attended many training courses, most recently on Sensory Needs. At nursery I love singing nursery rhymes with the children, helping them learn new songs. I particularly enjoy dancing and helping children discover how their body works. It’s very rewarding to create strong relationships with the children to support their learning.
