Hopscotch Nursery in Peacehaven is an Outstanding nursery with a highly qualified, graduate led staff team who have worked at the nursery for many years. Hopscotch Peacehaven is one of our two nurseries in East Sussex.
We are now open for out of hours nursery visits! Please use the Book a Visit form to arrange your visit to the nursery
Our children are supported to become confident learners and independent thinkers with a wide variety of activities to challenge and stimulate them physically and cognitively, helping them to grow and develop in a happy, safe and secure environment. By coming to our nursery children will develop their social skills and make lots of friends too.
We also run weekly Spanish lessons for our older children, delivered by specialist visiting teachers.

Our catering extends to a number of dietary requirements including vegetarian, dairy free, sugar free and no pork meal options. Hopscotch Peacehaven has received a national ‘Outstanding Food Award’ for our quality and commitment to children’s food and nutrition as part of the Healthy Active Little Ones (HALO) – East Sussex programme, funded by East Sussex County Council Public Health. This has been certified by the Children’s Food Trust, the leading experts in children’s food. The Children’s Food Trust is on a mission to get every child eating well and believe that children do well when they eat well. We share this belief, so we are making sure the food we provide at our nursery gives children the energy and nutrition they need to fulfil their potential. We hope that you share our enthusiasm for the Award and will see the benefits good food brings in helping your children to grow, play and learn.
Our large and spacious rooms provide a stimulating environment which offers the activities and experiences children need to grow and develop in all areas:
All of our rooms are furnished to high standard with Community Playthings wooden equipment.

The individual needs of the child can be met by planning strategies and targets using the IEP and the advice of a specialist support team and other professionals involved in their support. This can be explained further by our Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Coordinator. The SENDco will work with the Key Person to oversee the IEP targets for your child, as well as seeking support when needed from other practitioners to ensure provision is relevant and appropriate. Please see our Local Offer in full for more information.
We are located just off the main A259 South Coast Road, within easy reach of Brighton and easy access to the No 12 bus route.
