What Is Boogie Mites?
At Hopscotch Children’s Nurseries, we’re proud to bring Boogie Mites music sessions into our curriculum. These lively, interactive sessions use the power of music and movement to spark joy while supporting children’s learning and development in the early years.
Why We Love Boogie Mites
Led by trained Boogie Mites practitioners alongside our own enthusiastic nursery teams, these sessions are filled with energy, fun, and learning. Through music, children develop:
-
Language skills through singing, rhymes, and repetition
-
Physical coordination through dance and movement
-
Cognitive skills such as memory, focus, and listening
-
Confidence and self-expression in a supportive environment
From tapping out beats with rhythm sticks to dancing to their favourite songs, children adore their Boogie Mites time — and so do we!

Music to Support Learning and Development
Research shows that making music in the early years has a powerful impact on the developing brain. Boogie Mites builds on this, combining expert knowledge with well-structured activities to support:
-
Phonics and pre-literacy skills
-
Social and emotional development
-
Listening and concentration
-
School readiness

Boogie Mites Across Our Nurseries
You’ll find Boogie Mites woven into our weekly curriculum across all Hopscotch nurseries in:
- Brighton
- Hove
- Worthing
- Seaford
From their very first day, children are introduced to music and rhythm in fun, age-appropriate ways. By the time they move into our older rooms, they’re ready to take part in full Boogie Mites sessions with confidence and enthusiasm.
