Hopscotch Seaford '50 Things to do Before You're Five' Challenge

Seaford reading in den

This year our Seaford nursery are continuing their ‘50 Things to do Before You're Five’ challenge. East Sussex County Council launched the fantastic initiative. It is aimed at helping parents and carers to help develop their home learning environment, so that far more children thrive by the age of five.

The council have come up with 50 low or no-cost activities that children can do with their family, that are indoors and outdoors. Our Seaford nursery have already ticked off hopscotch drawing, a trip to Seaford Head, potion creating and making an outdoor obstacle course in the garden.

Next on the list was number 10 ‘sharing books’. The children built their own den using blankets and shared books about elephants! We’ll be sharing more of the activities our Seaford children complete soon.
