Hopscotch Explorers St. Ann's Well Garden Adventure

Hopscotch Explorers headed to St. Ann’s Well Gardens for an outdoor adventure. The focus of the session was to create a journey stick. After a fun walk to the park the children listened to a story before beginning their activity. In pairs they held a stick with a long piece of string tied to the top. The children then hunted around areas of the park together in search of natural finds. If they found something they wanted to keep they used the string on the sticks to secure the item onto their stick. By the end of the session the children had sticks filled with leaves, petals and feathers which they took back to nursery. They then talked their friends through their nature journey using the sticks to remind them where they picked bits up from.
