Disconnect from tech. Connect through creativity

Life is busy. Between work, school, clubs and screens, it isn't always easy to find time to simply slow down together.

Hopscotch Art Space offers something a little different.

Located in the heart of Brighton, it's a place where children and their grown-ups can paint, draw, build, make and explore side by side. There are no lessons to follow and no expectations. Just open-ended creativity, inspiring materials and plenty of opportunities to let your imagination lead the way.

Whether you're visiting after school, during the holidays or as part of a family day out, everyone is welcome.

Why we created Hopscotch Art Space

For almost 40 years, we've seen the difference creativity can make to children's confidence, curiosity and wellbeing.

Every day in our nurseries, we watch children turn ideas into artwork, stories into adventures and simple materials into something extraordinary. We wanted to create a space where even more families could experience that.

Hopscotch Art Space is our way of giving something back to the local community that has supported us for so many years.

Open to children up to 11 years old and their families, and free to visit, it's a place where you can spend time together, discover new ideas and enjoy the simple pleasure of making something with your own hands.

Who is it for?

Hopscotch Art Space is designed for children up to 11 years old and their families.

You don't need to attend a Hopscotch nursery and there's no need to book in advance. Whether your child loves painting, enjoys building or simply likes to explore new materials, you'll find a warm welcome here.

Children should be accompanied by a parent, carer or another responsible adult throughout their visit.

Stay for a short while or spend the afternoon getting creative. The choice is yours.
