Earth Week Round Up

Our Hopscotch Earth Week took place recently, and what a lovely week it was.

Across our nurseries, the children enjoyed a range of meaningful experiences, from cleaning three local beaches to visiting the Rockery, Scrap Space, Rampion Wind Farm and a local public garden.

Throughout the week, the children explored what it means to care for the world around them. They learned about picking up litter, protecting green spaces, reducing, reusing and recycling, and how renewable energy plays a part in our future. It’s always so special to see how these small, hands-on experiences help build an understanding that even the smallest actions can make a difference.

Creating a sustainable environment is something that’s really important to us at Hopscotch. Alongside their outings, our Preston Park nursery introduced a barrel pond, a bug hotel, and a garden filled with herbs and flowers, creating new spaces for the children to explore and care for.

We’re always looking for thoughtful ways to continue growing our sustainability practices. If you’d like to learn more, you can visit our Hopscotch and the Environment page.

It was a week full of fresh air, exploration and plenty of sunshine.
