The Hopscotch Art Space is officially open

We had such a lovely weekend celebrating the opening of The Hopscotch Art Space, our new free creative space for children and families in Brighton’s North Laine.

To help us celebrate, we were delighted to welcome Brighton-based children’s author and illustrator Nick Sharratt, who officially opened the Art Space for us.

Nick also hosted a brilliant illustration workshop, giving children and their grown-ups the chance to get creative and draw alongside him. Afterwards, he spent time meeting families and signing books.

A huge thank you to Nick for joining us and making our opening day so special.

We’d also like to say a big thank you to everyone who visited us over the opening weekend. It was wonderful to see so many families coming through the doors and enjoying the space.

There was lots of drawing, painting and creating, and it was lovely to see children and grown-ups sitting down and making something together.

Thank you to everyone who came along and supported us. We couldn’t have asked for a better first weekend.

The Hopscotch Art Space is open to everyone, not just Hopscotch families. It’s completely free and there’s no need to book. Simply pop in, choose what you’d like to do and get creative together.

For the remaining weekends in August, we’re open from 10am to 3pm.

From September, we’re open Wednesday to Sunday, from 10am to 3pm.

Entry is completely free and no booking is needed.
