Holiday Club Roundup
It’s been a week since our Easter Holiday Club came to an end, and we’ve been enjoying looking back on everything the children got up to over those two weeks.
We had such a lovely time together, filled with plenty of laughter, creativity and energy from start to finish.
There was a great mix of crafts on offer throughout the fortnight. The children worked with air-dry clay to create their own trinkets, and used tools and water to shape pinch pots and vases. They also made Easter wreaths using felt flowers, mini chicks and foam eggs, and enjoyed decorating bunting with paints and stamps — including one large piece created together as a group. Making beaded bracelets and necklaces in the sunshine offered a calmer moment to sit and get creative.
It’s always a highlight to see how each child approaches activities in their own way.
Alongside this, there was no shortage of movement and group play. From games like Granny Pants to parachute play and regular freeze dance sessions, there was always something going on. Ribbon twirling and plate spinning added to the fun, and when the weather warmed up, water play with buckets and squirt guns was a clear favourite.
There was also plenty of time for children to follow their own interests. Some spent their time racing around on scooters and bikes or creating chalk drawings outside, while others chose board games or making playdough indoors.
Looking back, it was a busy and varied couple of weeks, with a good balance of structured activities and free play.
We’re already looking ahead to the next Holiday Club and would love to welcome everyone back again.
